Buphthalmos

Buphthalmos described an abnormally narrow angle in the anterior chamber of the eye between the Iris and Cornea, leading to blockage of outflow of aqueous humour.

  • Glaucoma (raised intra-ocular pressure) can result, which threatens vision unless treated.
